It's Always A Great Day to Be A Don. Sorry, for whatever reason it was changed to donor. Haha...have a great afternoon.
Good Afternoon. We hope this message finds all of you having a wonderful afternoon. Please remember our Parent Orientation from 5:30 to 6:30 tonight on our WLVHS Football field. (Frank Herrera Complex) (Frank Herrera Complex) the original message indicated the gymnasium; however, the gym floor is being resurfaced. We are excited and eagerly await your presence. This is an essential communication between home and school. Let's start this school year by building a partnership and promoting a positive learning environment for our students. It is always a great day to be a donor. Don.
Please review the updated dress code for the 24-25 school year. As the first day of school is approaching, we want to ensure our students know what is permitted.
Message from Mrs Mandy & Mr Soto:
Chromebook (School issued) – Please make sure it is charged every day.
Chromebook Charger (School issued, but if lost, student is responsible for replacing. You can order online or purchase through the WLV School District for $35.) – Must bring every day.
Notebook – Students will be required to take notes for all classes on FlexPoint.
Writing Utensil – Pen, pencil (with eraser), etc.
Headphones or earbuds – Must be able to pair with Chromebook if wireless.
Refillable water bottle – Water dispensers are available throughout campus. Bottles of water will not be provided this year (and our vending machine is not always filled.)
Phone Charger/Block – If students bring their phone, they will be asked to place it in a designated area during class time. They will be allowed to charge it at this location, but not at their desk so they will need a phone block.
**Note to Parents**
We plan on having a great year with your kids and have just a few “housekeeping” items to let you know about. Attendance is mandatory and will be closely monitored. All students are required to attend for the full scheduled school day, regardless of work schedules, etc. Students should come to school well rested and ready to work on their classes. We have a new online learning platform this year, so it is vital that your child attends every day to assist in this learning transition.
Dress code will be enforced so please make sure your child is dressed appropriately.
Since there will be a limitation on phone use, we ask that you encourage your child to only call you during a passing period or at lunch. If you need to get a hold of them in an emergency and they do not have their phone, please contact their teacher or the Secretary. Students are not allowed to receive phone calls during class time and should not make phone calls during this time either so please make lunch plans, etc. before school.
We hope to have incentive field trips throughout the school year. Eligibility to attend will be based on attendance, performance, participation in fundraisers, etc. I don’t want anyone to miss out so please encourage them to do their best.
We look forward to a great school year that will be fun and productive! Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.
Teachers – Mrs. Amanda Ortiz and Mr. Stuart Soto

Dear Parent/Legal Guardian:
WLVS is committed to providing a safe environment for your students. As such, your school carries accident medical coverage for injuries to students that occur while your student is on campus attending regularly scheduled classes, practicing and playing interscholastic sports for the school, and attending events directly sponsored by and directly supervised by the school. Please know that your school does not assume responsibility for these costs, and the policy is provided to assist when accidents happen and help with resulting medical treatment. The policy is secondary to any existing primary coverage to assist with any co-pays and deductibles left by primary coverage. But, if there is no primary coverage, this policy will act as primary to assist with medical costs.
If the district policy will be your primary coverage for school-related activities and interscholastic sports and you are asked to provide a policy number, you should use Ace American Insurance Company SDA N18010744. If you have primary coverage, you’ll want to continue to use your primary coverage policy number when asked to provide it for all school activities.
The accompanying brochure will help explain the benefits of the school-time plan the school has already purchased for you and who to contact if you need to file a claim. If your student suffers a covered injury, the school will provide you with a claim form where a school official has completed Part A. You will then be able to work with Myers-Stevens to complete the claim process; detailed instructions on how to do this will be provided on the claim form.
You can take your child to any licensed provider, but you’ll also have access to an extensive network of doctors and hospitals who have agreed to discounted fees. Seeking care through contracted providers may reduce out-of-pocket costs, particularly if your child needs surgery or hospitalization. Many of the Best Hospitals in America, as listed by U.S. News and World Report annually, are contracted through the networks!
Any questions regarding this coverage and claim filing can be directed to Myers-Stevens & Toohey at (800) 827-4695. Bilingual representatives are available for parents who need assistance in Spanish.
Good morning, we are currently doing sports physicals at the Valley Schools today till 4 pm. No appointments needed and no out of pocket costs.
